Oak kitchen refaced in cream
Dark oak doors and a laminate top gave way to cream raised panel cabinetry and granite, with the original layout left exactly where it was.
The homeowners wanted people at the island but did not want them looking straight at the prep area. A stepped island solved both at once.
The lower tier carries the sink and the working surface, the raised tier gives a breakfast bar with room for stools, and the step between them hides everything in progress. A dark stained base on the island sets it apart from the cream perimeter cabinetry, and glass front wall cabinets break up the run.
Granite tops throughout, with pendant lighting over the seating side.
